Garlic butter steak fried rice recipe that’s crispy, buttery, and packed with flavor! This one-pan meal is quick, easy, and ready in 30 minutes.
Ingredients
3 cups day-old cooked rice
1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak (thinly sliced)
4 tbsp unsalted butter (divided)
5 cloves garlic (minced)
2 eggs (beaten)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
2 green onions (chopped)
1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
1/2 cup frozen peas & carrots (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Garlic Butter: Melt 2 tbsp butter in a skillet, add garlic, and sauté until fragrant. Set aside.
Sear the Steak: Heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan, cook steak slices for 2 minutes per side, then set aside.
Scramble the Eggs: In the same pan, push steak bits aside, add eggs, and scramble quickly.
Fry the Rice: Add remaining butter, stir in day-old rice, and let it crisp for 3 minutes.
Combine & Serve: Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and garlic butter. Stir in steak, green onions, and optional veggies. Serve hot!
Notes
For best texture: Use chilled, day-old rice.
For extra flavor: Add a drizzle of chili oil or top with sesame seeds.
Steak options: Swap ribeye for flank steak or even shrimp.
